No one uses the fretboard for solos in songs quite like EC. He has caught so much flack over the years for leaving Cream and the guitar hero thing behind. He became a singer, songwriter, and band member but never left the guitar in the background in his live shows. He may have laid back a bit in the studio but not live. This solo in this video reminds us of why we loved him in the first place: his ability to solo within the context of a song and to keep elevating it to a place and a rarefied air where few artists go or can go. There may be a few artists who do this but no one in our opinion does it better than Eric. I hope the man plays forever. Thanks for these videos and good quality sound.
