Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble - Riviera Paradise

Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble - Riviera Paradise

A beautiful and tragic song, really, since it shows the direction of his musical development between gaining sobriety and his death soon afterwards. It's an unfortunate parallel to the life of his hero Hendrix, who (while obviously not moving towards sobriety before his passing) was starting to learn some theory to underpin his astonishing technique - Jimi, of course, was famously hanging out with Miles in the last year of his life, and there are persistent rumors that reels of their jam sessions exist in the Electric Ladyland vaults...but we digress.
